Name: Chantal Tacchino Position: NCCER Commissioner Year and program: 2nd year Physiology MSc. candidate Year on the team: 4th year Why do I love SERT?: It’s like family, first aid style. Why am I excited for NCCER?: I fell in love with NCCER years ago and I can’t wait to host teams at Western! Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Pressure dressing because they keep blood on the inside...where it belongs! Fun fact: I’m going travelling in Southeast Asia for a month after NCCER!	Name: Lindsay Dods Position: Hospitality Coordinatory Year and program: 3rd year Medical Biophysics Year on the team: 3rd Why do I love SERT?: It’s more of an addiction. I just can’t say no anymore. Why am I excited for NCCER?: I’ve had a lot of fun at the last 2 NCCERs, and ours is going to be about 60% better. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Gloves - I like to get my hands dirty without actually getting my hands dirty. Fun fact: A 'jiffy' is an actual unit of time: 1/100th of a second.	Name: Melissa Martin Position: Logistics Coordinator Year and program: Masters of Public Administration Year on the team: Alumnus (4 years on team) Why do I love SERT?: Exec retreat, Holiday dinner and Thursdays at the Brass Door. Why am I excited for NCCER?: I hear there is a hangover booth... Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: SERT cash box. Not first aid equipment, but I did become good friends with it being Finance Director for two years. Fun fact: I have travelled to 22 countries.

Name: Leah Hellyer Position: Registration Officer Year and program: 3rd year BHSc Kinesiology, Minor in Psychology Year on the team: 2nd Why do I love SERT?: I love laughing and having a good time with optimistic friends who all share a common interest Why am I excited for NCCER?: To make more friends who know what an evisceration is, to drink and to check out some kick a response skills from teams around the province! Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Pregnancy Protocols and Equipment - JUST IN CASE! Fun fact:** I have been known to win chugging contests against a variety of male individuals.. just saying..	Name: Simon Deluce Position: Casualty Simulation Officer Year and program: 1st year Engineering Graduate Studies Year on the team: 3rd Why do I love SERT?: Where else can you practice responding to busses filled with children that have been hit by a meteor. Why am I excited for NCCER?: I had a lot of fun at NCCER last year and I am hoping to make that a trend. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: I don't know if the SERT vest counts. Fun fact: I also have my Wilderness First Responder certification.	Name: Steph Maxim Position: Banquet Officer Year and program: 4th Year Management and Organizational Studies and Political Science Year on the team: 3rd Why do I love SERT?: Because sirens make me giddy Why am I excited for NCCER?: I have an insatiable avidity to meet new people Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Band aids because they fix all problems or at least they are good placebos Fun fact: I’m the worst storyteller ever!

Name: Alyssa Smith Position: Billeting Officer Year and program: 3rd Year Biology/Medical Sciences Year on the team: 2nd Why do I love SERT?: Simply because SERT is amazing! Why am I excited for NCCER?: NCCER will be a great way to meet new people and learn new skills. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Ventolin because I’ll take your breath away! Fun fact: On my first SERT shift ever I responded to a naked call!	Name: Ashley Thomas Position: Logistics Officer Year and program: 3rd year Pathology and Toxicology Year on the team: 1st Why do I love SERT?: Because nothing's hotter than a man in uniform! Why am I excited for NCCER?: The greatest people across Canada are coming; where else would I want to be? Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Nasal lube for smooth entry. Fun fact: I come from the land of chocolate and cheese.	Name: Adam Day Position: Lackey/AV guru Year and program: PhD, Rehabilitation Sciences II Year on the team: SERT member since 2003 Why do I love SERT?: It’s not that I love SERT, but after so much time and effort SERT has become a part of me, like a hemorrhoid. Why am I excited for NCCER?: NCCER is great because you learn a lot about yourself (e.g., how well you can actually perform hung-over). Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: My favourite piece of equipment is the lube, sometimes even a little can improve the situation. Fun fact: I’m not really that fun.

Year on the team: Alumnus Why do I love SERT?: We're a team! :) Why am I excited for NCCER?: Because anything can happen when you get a bunch of responders together! Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: For some reason I love the radios - It's like I'm a special agent! Fun fact: China Dolls freak me out!	Name: Lisa Donnelly Position: Competition Coordinator Year and program: pursuing B.Ed at University of Toronto Year on the team: SERT Alumnus after 6 years on the Team Why do I love SERT?: “It's the deed and not the glory” Why am I excited for NCCER?: Can't wait to see all of your mad skillz at comp Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Sager splint, because you can fashion it into a unicycle if you're bored (and have an extra wheel lying around). Fun fact: Allergic to topical vitamin E. Why am I excited for NCCER?: Blair is coming to London! Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Sandwich protocol. Fun fact: Rabid Elaine beats me hocking loogies every time.

Why am I excited for NCCER?: I am extremely excited for NCCER 2010 to be here so that we finally can see the end product of the many stressful days and long nights that went into making the conference. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Favourite first aid skill would have to be NPAs. Fun fact: I know sign language. Why am I excited for NCCER?: Because I think it is an awesome opportunity for SERT to showcase our skills and beautiful campus. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: The BVM. Because it sucks and blows! Fun fact: When I drink cold pop it makes me burp, but if its warm ... nothing	Name: Matt Stajcer Position: Executive Director Year and program: 5th, Medical Science Year on the team: 3rd Why do I love SERT?: The amount of work that everyone puts in for something volunteer is amazing. Why am I excited for NCCER?: The banquet social. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Nasals, because sticking things in peoples noses is usually taboo. Fun fact: If we go by time spent, sports should probably be my major.

Why am I excited for NCCER?: Conferences are always tons of fun, plus this year SERT is hosting, I think that speaks for itself. Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: AED, I'm just that intense. Fun fact: I've competed nationally in 4 different sports. Fun fact: Tallest man on SERT ever.	Name: Jennifer MacDonald (Macdo) Position: Finance Director Year and program: 4th Year Honours Specialization in Health Sciences – Minor in Psychology Year on the team: 2nd Why do I love SERT?: It has made be realize that I want to become a paramedic, aside from being the most awesome volunteer opportunity. Why am I excited for NCCER?: to see everyone’s hard work pay off! Favourite first aid skill/protocol/piece of equipment and why?: Epi pen to pump up your adrenaline! Fun fact: My favourite sandwich is mayo and peanut butter.
